There is one who clearly emerges as a candidate for the Chargers. That is the starting running back for the New Orleans Saints, Alvin Kamara.
The New England Patriots could be facing a banged-up New Orleans Saints offense when the teams meet this weekend.
Kamara has been with the Saints since getting drafted out of the University of Tennessee in the 2017 NFL Draft. He won 2017 Rookie of the Year and is a five-time Pro Bowl selection. The Metro Atlanta native is the Saints' all-time leader in rushing yards, rushing touchdowns, total touchdowns, total yards from scrimmage and all-purpose yards.
The latest to very publicly support the Kamara-traded-to-Chargers idea is former Chargers player Breiden Fehoko: “Chargers should go get Alvin Kamara before the deadline. Give up a Third for him. Saints gave Kendre Miller more bulk of the run game. Something to watch.”
