More than 6,000 households are still without power more than 36 hours after severe storms hit the Twin Cities area, and some may be waiting until Thursday night for their service to be restored. The Xcel Energy outage map is showing 6,221 customers are still without power in the Twin Cities region as of 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Another round of severe weather is possible Monday afternoon and evening just as Minnesotans are cleaning up from Sunday storms that toppled trees and left thousands without power. Heavy rain, damaging winds are the main threat,
