A teenage boy is accused of injuring three people in a shooting on a bus in north Minneapolis earlier this month.
A 17-year-old has been charged with murder in connection with a fatal shooting in Minneapolis on Dec. 23. Minneapolis police responded to the shooting in a home on the 1600 block of Thomas Avenue North in the overnight hours of Dec. 23. They found an 18-year-old who had been shot five times; the man later died.

At the time of both shootings, Omar-Dear was on probation after pleading guilty to attempted murder for his role in the shooting of a man in November 2024 at a bus stop at Lowry and Emerson avenues N. in Minneapolis. The victim said he believed he was being targeted in retaliation for an earlier shooting.
