According to Carnival historian and Mardi Gras Guide founder Arthur Hardy, the city’s first organized parading organization, the Mistick Krewe of Comus, was also the first to have one of its parades featured in a printed bulletin.

Two krewes in Thibodaux also announced changes on Friday for their Sunday parades. Ambrosia completely canceled its parade for 2025 while Shaka rescheduled for Tuesday, March 4. Six Mardi Gras parades are scheduled to roll in the Baton Rouge area this weekend. The best advice if you're going to one or all six: bundle up.
