Former Minnesota State Senator Justin Eichorn (R- Grand Rapids) will remain in custody, at least for now. A federal judge has blocked his release after he allegedly obstructed the investigation into accusations that he solicited a teenage girl.

A judge is allowing former Minnesota State Senator Justin Eichorn to be released under the previously agreed-upon terms. He can go to a halfway house once a bed is available, and will be placed under GPS monitoring.

Federal authorities want former state Sen. Justin Eichorn to remain in custody ahead of his trial for allegedly seeking sex with a 17-year-old girl, claiming the ex-Minnesota lawmaker lied about having access to a gun and arranged to cover up evidence that could be used against him in court.
