Steven Kwan collected the first multi-home run game of his career, but the Guardians couldn’t complete a four-game sweep as the Orioles handed Cleveland a 4-3 loss Thursday in a series finale at Progressive Field.

Steven Kwan is perfect for San Diego. A Gold Glove Award winner in three consecutive seasons, the California native leads all left fielders in Defensive Runs Saved (13) this season. San Diego would be acquiring an all-around left fielder who provides everything the team needs and is under contract through 2027.

The Cleveland Guardians may find themselves in the middle of a surprising trade buzz just days before the deadline. Surprisingly, the name surfacing is outfielder Steven Kwan. According to MLB insider Jon Heyman,

MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand recently chose his top trade asset for each team, and named Cleveland’s best piece as Steven Kwan. “Kwan is under club control for two more years, so while the Guardians don’t have to move him, he may be their best asset to bring back a solid package of young talent,” wrote Feinsand.

Steven Kwan singled home Bo Naylor with two outs in the eighth inning for the go-ahead run, lifting the Cleveland Guardians to a 3-2 victory over the Baltimore Orioles.

Kyle Manzardo gave Cleveland the lead with a two-run single in the fourth, but Jackson Holliday tied the score with a solo home run in the sixth.

Steven Kwan came through with the go-ahead RBI single in the eighth, and the Guardians beat the Orioles to earn win No. 11 in their last 13 games.
