Robotics is another big focus for the Trump administration in the AI race. Defense contractor Bechtel Plant Machinery announced Tuesday that it plans to use robotics and AI from Pittsburgh-based Gecko Robotics to speed up military shipbuilding for the Navy.

During the summit held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on July 15, companies promised new data centers, new jobs, cybersecurity education, energy research, and more.

On July 15, Trump will travel to Pennsylvania to tout more than $90 billion in private sector investment in the state, including in data centers, energy, power infrastructure and personnel needed to fuel the country’s AI ambitions, according to the office of Sen. Dave McCormick, a Pennsylvania Republican.
