We are planning a week long trip from CA to MA. My 4 year old is obsessed with trains and dinosaurs and I thought this would be really fun for him. Does the Edaville Family Theme park re-open on April 4th, 2020? Is it a good time to go? Which is the closest airport we can choose? Recommendations for hotels/Airbnb close to the theme park? What other attractions would be suitable for my 4 year old? What can be done in Boston with my son? How far would Maine be? Is it possible to go to Nigara falls in a week?

Edaville Railroad with its train and toddler friendly Thomas area is a good bet. The park is not very crowded, but arriving early assures this. Nearby is Southwick Zoo. Logan is the major airport, and probably has the best schedules from the west coast. It is a major airport. It is about 1 1/2 hours to Edaville. T.F. Green in Rhode Island is smaller and closer, but schedules may not be goode. There are many hotels, major chains, waterfront and in town ones,and probably Air B&Bs in Plymouth, MA. It is about 20 minutes from Edaville. Kennebunkport Maine is about 3 hours away from that location. Nigara Falls is about a 7 hour drive. In Boston there are the Children's Museum, the Science Museum, the New England Aquarium and its whale watch cruises. There is the Boston Common, where kids can run,and it has a nice playground.
