Wished I had allocated more time for my visit - there was a docent-led tour that I could have gone on, and more of the grounds that I could have seen. Was well worth the admission for the hour and a…Full review by creepygeek
Going to a wedding there August 2020. Besides Boston, what would be a good place to stay at that’s close by?

I would stay in Beauport Hotel Gloucester. It is a well rated place right on the beach in Gloucester located near Good Harbor beach and just 25 minutes away from Crane Estate.
Can you take a tour from Boston to this Estate? We will be staying in Downtown Boston visiting from California .

I don't believe so. It is not always open to the public and not that big that you would need more than an hour and nothing much in the area you can do without a car. I only live half an hour away in Gloucester. In this part of Massachusetts on the North Shore you need a car to get around. Maybe you should rent a car for the day and you could come and visit Gloucester and Rockport and do the scenic drive it is very pretty area especially in the spring and summer time. Cranes Castle is in Gloucester. Right next to a beautiful park or stage Fort Park. You can even take boat rides out of Gloucester. Then there is the Henry sleeper house out on the point near the lighthouse. I think you would enjoy this much more than the Crane Estate which you can't count on being open. Is the "Guest of the Cranes" tour, Handicap Accessible. Does it have an Elevator or are their stairs to negotiate. Can only the first floor be toured? Is their a video for those who can't reach the second floor? Thank You.

Going to a wedding at the barn? Is it handicap accessible for a wheelchair?
Hi, Richie. What would you like to know about this attraction? Hi, What are the days and hours for a tour? The website is confusing? Is it only sat-sun in Mau for a tour? Thanks, Richie
